Children are supported by staff who are knowledgeable about their individual stage of development. Activities are fun and effectively guided by the children’s individual interests. Staff make regular assessments about what the children know and can do. This information is then successfully used to inform future planning. Children are provided with a good variety of adult-led and child-initiated activities. Children who have special educational needs or disabilities are sensitively cared for by staff who are knowledgeable about which strategies individual children positively respond to. Children’s language skills are effectively supported. Staff introduce children to new vocabulary during baking activities. Children learn words, such as ingredients, flour and sugar. They also listen to fun words, such as squidgy.
